Starting the day right is a priority for me because each day brings unforeseen challenges. To prepare for that, we need to spend the first 15–30 minutes of each day readying our minds for what is to come. I am a person of faith, and I spend that time reading, meditating, and praying. If I need an attitude adjustment, I try to do that before I negatively impact someone else. Whenever I miss my morning reflection time due to an early meeting, I feel unprepared and lacking the peace that comes from this time. Having a quiet time as I prepare for the day is essential for me, and I recommend it to anyone who aspires to lead. -Paul Weaver
